Upcoming quiz in social studies next week over the first 10 Fertile Crescent Facts (students should have a sheet they were given with questions and answers to study from)

First (of 5) TASKS are due next Tuesday. Students have a handout labeled Tribe Task containing the 5 elements of a civilization listed on them-government, religion, writing, job specialization-social class, and art-architecture-public works. They must choose one of these 5 elements and do one of the suggested tasks listed below that element. Students know they must answer the question that coordinates with the element they have chosen, however, they may not write out the question or its answer. Instead, students are to answer the question within the task they choose to do. The tasks will be due each Tuesday. Tribe task is due September 30, Village Task is due October 7, City-State Task is due October 14, Empire Task is due October 21 and the fifth task may be done within any level of their chosing. Students must have one task from each of the 5 elements and cannot repeat any element.

Tuesday: Read pages 83-86 and answer questions in book on page 86.

Thursday: Work on Tribe Level Task for Mesopotamia and complete it. Students will have this task due on Tuesday, September 30. Please refer to handouts given in class.
