REMINDER:  This week is parent teacher conferences after school on Tuesday and Thursday, so there will be no homework help on those nights!!!!

Monday:  Watch video and discuss aspects of earthquakes.  Grade Plate Models that were worked on in class on Wednesday and Friday.

Wednesday: Read pages 45-49 in textbook  and complete Reading Study Guide 2.1.  We read this in class together, but if students do not complete the RSG 2.1 in class then it is homework and due at the next class time.

Friday:  NO SCHOOL!  Have a nice break!

Tuesday:  City State Task is due (see handout students were given weeks ago for ideas)  Students must complete a different element or trait each week (there are 5 elements of any civilization and students have handouts with information about these elements).  If they complete one element, they may not complete another task for that element (ex.  Centralized Government can only be done once)  Review by watching vidoes on Mesopotamia and taking notes using their study guides.

Thursday:  TEXT over Mesopotamia.  The Empire and Free Choice Level tasks are both due next Tuesday!!!!

Tuesday:  Read and complete Hammarabi’s Code worksheet.  Village Level Task due (see handouts for options)  There will be a City-State Task due next Tuesday.

Thursday:  Quiz # 2 (see Fertile Crescent Fact Sheet); Challenge for teams-in class. 

Tuesday:  Complete Fertile Crescent Map, begin reading handout on Mesopotamia and turn in the Fertile Crescent worksheet from last Thursday.

Thursday:  Finish reading handout on Mesopotamia and complete worksheet entitled:  Sumerian Civilization Quiz

Tuesday:  Finish World Map worksheet (these are due on Thursday and will be a significant grade)

Thursday:  Working on Latitude and Longitude (absolute location) in class.  No homework.
